“A Pandemic As the Backdrop of A Global Protest”
As if the world didn’t already have its hands full
while trying to deal with the coronavirus, political
uncertainty, impending threats of war, and racial
unrest… another officer-involved killing takes place in
the United States.
Officer Derek Chauvin, a veteran of nineteen years
with the Minneapolis Police Department, along with
three other police officers have all been charged with
murder following the arrest, which led to the death of
George Floyd. Mr. Floyd, a black man, was suspected of
passing counterfeit currency at the local Cup Foods Store.
