Towards Better Compaction

               Roles

               Customer

The customer is the end user of our woodchips. All of Tasmania’s woodchip customers are based
in the Asian region (China and Japan).

               Tasports

The Tasmanian Ports Corporation Ltd (Tasports) is owned by the Tasmanian Government and has
responsibility for 11 ports and one airport around Tasmania. As well as their responsibility for the
port areas, Tasports is also responsible for the maintenance of channels and key navigational aids.

               Port of Bell Bay
The port of Bell Bay is located in the Bell Bay Industrial Precinct along with several other large
industrial customers including South 32 and Bell Bay Aluminium. It is located on the Tamar River
approximately 20 kilometres from the river mouth (there is a tidal bar at the mouth of the river
which is subject to strong currents).

Permanent access is available for vessels up to 170 metres long (maximum draught of 11.4 metres)
and vessels of up to 250 metres in length can be accommodated on flood tides by arrangement with
               the port.
