                 f. Free medical and dental services and facilities, the kind of which depends on the number of

                         employees and the nature of work.


          Hazardous jobs are those which expose employee to dangerous environment elements, including

          contaminants, radiation, fire, poisonous substances, biological agents, explosives or dangerous processes or
          equipment including construction, mining, quarrying, blasting, stevedoring, mechanized farming and

          operating heavy equipment.



          E. Rest Days and Holidays
          Rest day refers to any rest period of not less than 24 consecutive hours after not more than six consecutive

          days.

          Holidays or Special days refer to days classified as such by law or declared by competent public authority,

          whether or not it falls on an employee’s work day or rest day.

          F. Leaves

          Service Incentive Leave (SIL)- refers to any five day leave with pay to which an employee is entitled after

          one year of service. May be converted at the end of each year of service based on the salary rate of the time of
          conversion.

          Maternity leave– refers to the leave granted on the occasion of childbirth, abortion or miscarriage of a

          female member of SSS who has paid at least 3 monthly contributions in the 12– month period immediately
          preceding her childbirth or miscarriage. Maternity leave of 60 days for normal childbirth, abortion or

          miscarriage and 7 days in case of caesarean delivery.

          Paternity leave– Republic Act 8187 allows a male employee a leave of seven days with full when legitimate

          spouse gives birth or suffers miscarriage applicable for the first 4 deliveries of his legitimate spouse provided
          he had notified his employer of the pregnancy of his legitimate spouse and the expected date of such

          delivery.
