CHAPTER 3

                  SET PRIORITIES

               1. Once you have identified tasks for the day, rank them on your task list and

complete the most important ones first. To determine the priority of the tasks, ask
                   yourself these questions:

1 How much time will the task require?

2 By what date (time) should the task be completed?
3 Are others involved in completing the task?

4 What will happen if this task is not completed on time?
5 Do I have all of the information (or materials) I need to complete

                        the task?

               2. Once you set your priorities, finish the tasks in their priority order.

                  CONTROL LARGE PROJECT

               1. Large projects can be challenging to begin, even though they may be incredibly

                   necessary.

               2. Larger jobs may appear overwhelming, but little tasks can be easily crossed off

                   your task list.

               3. Follow these suggestions for handling a large project:

1 Break the large project into smaller tasks
2 Determine the steps to be taken in each of the smaller tasks

3 Establish deadlines for each section or smaller task and meet those
                        deadlines

4 Look for ways to improve your procedures and simplify the completion

                        of the project
