6. Store or record in a tickler file item requiring future action.
7. Assume your employer says to you, “Please call the Morgan Company on Monday.
Make an appointment for us to discuss our purchasing contract with them.” You
would prepare a reminder to make the phone call and record it under next
Monday’s date.
8. Put a note in your tickler file or software under the appropriate day as soon as you
realize there's a deadline or a detail that has to be reviewed later.
9. Every morning, review the file and make a note of the things that need to be taken
care of. For every item, take the proper action. Your work will go more smoothly if
you follow this process.
