In April, the Fund calculates the possible pension adjustment based on a comparison of
the cost of living between December 2022 and December 2023. Switzerland falls short
of the 2% target, but the increase will still be accrued and will be adjusted on the basis
of the December 2024 figures.

Friendship

We have just had lunch at the « Les LAURIERS » restaurant, which gave us the
opportunity to get together in a friendly atmosphere. Many have changed.... Many are
here for the first time, even though they retired years ago. We are very pleased with the
service provided by this restaurant, and we'll come there again in October....

Climate: 9 April 2024, an important date

Last autumn, the “Plateforme du réseau seniors Genève” organised a plenary session
on climate issues. At the time, we learnt about the action undertaken by the Elders for
Climate Protection Association before the European Court of Human Rights.

Today, the ECHR has condemned Switzerland for violating the Convention on Human
Rights, vindicating the association's attack on Switzerland's lack of action against
climate change.

A landmark decision, legally binding, which should set a precedent in the 46 member
states of the Council of Europe.

Reopening of the Pavillon de Pregny

The Pavillon de Pregny has reopened for regular operations following the recent
completion of its second phase of refurbishment. The renovation work included
extending the sheltered area, improving the flooring, installing additional turnstiles and
incorporating a door accessible to wheelchairs. At the same time, the pass and ID
office is back to full operation.

Visitors and conference participants can access the Palais through the Pregny gate
using their digital badge. This procedure is part of our ongoing efforts to improve access
to and security of our facilities.
