The RNAV STARs designed for each runway at WMKK are
permitting IPA operations because their vertical paths are separated of
1000ft until the aircraft are established on the localizer course or the
Final Approach Track GNSS inside the NOZ.
A minimum vertical separation of 1000ft or a minimum of 3 NM
radar separation shall be provided until aircraft are established on ILS
localizer course and within the Normal Operating Zone (NOZ).
A “low side”, a “middle side” and a “high side” sector has been
designed with a specific altitude for vectoring to establish, with the
aim to provide vertical separation until aircraft are established
inbound on their respective parallel ILS localizer course.
