Breakout Manoeuvre




                   • If an aircraft is observed to deviate from its course (blunder) towards the

                        NTZ boundary, the appropriate monitoring ATCO will instruct the

                        aircraft to return immediately to the correct ILS localizer course.



                   •     If an aircraft is observed to penetrate the NTZ, the relevant monitoring

                        ATCO shall instruct the aircraft on the adjacent localizer course
                        (threatened) to immediately turn and climb to an assigned heading and

                        altitude to avoid the deviating aircraft. In the case of external blunders

                        penetrating the adjacent NTZ, both threatened aircraft on parallel LOC

                        course must execute an ATC directed breakout (double breakout).



                   • Any heading instruction has been defined according to ICAO DOC

                        9643 (Manual on Simultaneous Operations on Parallel or Near-Parallel
                        Instrument Runways (SOIR) and validated with an Fast Time

                        Simulation (FTS) and an Real Time Simulation (RTS).
