Missed Approach Procedures
On becoming aware of, or initiating a ‘go around’, the ADC concerned is to:
• Inform the other ADC that a missed approach has occurred;
• Inform, by use of the HOTLINE, the APP controller responsible for
providing a departure service that a missed approach has occurred;
• Coordinate with the other ADC and the APP controller to establish
separation with any conflicting traffic.
The ADC responsible for departures is to suspend potentially conflicting
departures until otherwise agreed with Approach Controller as appropriate.
On being notified of a ‘go around’ by ADC the APP controller is to
coordinate with the other approach controllers to reposition the missed
approach aircraft for another approach.
