Institute
More than 16,000 cancer patients are treated every
year at Soroka, including 750 children. Each year,
an average of 5,500 adult patients and some 50
children are newly diagnosed with cancer. In recent
years, there has been an increase in all types of
cancer, especially lung, bladder, and breast cancer,
in the southern region.
The new Legacy Heritage Oncology Center and Dr.
Larry Norton Institute is a comprehensive oncology
center that provides state-of-the-art treatment
to the diverse population of our region. It houses
all treatment units under one roof and provides
patients with world-class facilities, greatly improving
their well-being and that of their families.
