• The concept of “social justice” was conceived in the mid-nineteenth century,
and refers to the just distribution of social and economic resources to citizens
by state authorities.
• An international Social Justice Day is held annually on February 20 , designed

• International Peace Day is held annually on September 21 .

• According to an organization that measures corruption worldwide, northern
European countries, especially Finland and Denmark – display less public
sector corruption. They are trailed by Singapore, Sweden and Norway.
• In the Hague, Netherlands, there are around 150 institutions and organizations
which employ over 14,000 people to promote security and justice in the world.
The name ‘Hague’ signifies the hope for justice following crimes against
humanity, and The Hague is referred to as the world’s headquarters for justice.
