Here?s a pic of 'Ozzy', my ?67 MGB. I brought it to Nashville in 1983 when I moved from
where I purchased the car in Oklahoma.
Although that was 40 years ago, Ozzy went away for 10 years (2009-2019), when I sold it to
my best neighborhood friend from grade school. I was the best man at his wedding, and he
at mine. He sold the car back to me in 2019, only having put 500 miles on it in the 10 years
he had it !
The B was originally delivered to Mobile, Alabama in 1967, and, unbelievably, I was able to
recently track down the son of the original owner. When I got the car, it had been painted
red, although it was a factory BRG green car. In 1994, I did a ?rolling restoration?, and
returned it to the original green color.
Ozzy has its original motor, transmission and radiator, and is 99% stock (still running a
factory generator, positive earth ground, points/distributor, etc). The only real ?upgrade? is a
high speed reduction starter, and running one 12 volt battery, instead of two 6 volts.
I drive my B as much as possible, averaging about 50-75 miles per week.
