Family Tr adit ions

This is the first car I ever owned - a 1967 Morgan Plus4-ordered from the factory,
picked up in New York, and driven back home with my Dad. It was a great
bonding experience. (I'm not sure he would have agreed.)

t was my 1st year in college -my Dad said he would pay 1/2 the cost of a car for
my college graduation if I paid the other 1/2 from summer jobs. I wanted an XKE
but that was a 'no go' with dad.

I was home from school and the interior decorator that my mom used was at
the house in what I thought was a classic MG TF. When I learned it was a Morgan
(I'd never heard of one) and that they were still making them and that it cost 2k
less than an XKE , I had to have it.
A year later it was shipped to NY and my Dad and I flew up and drove it back. He
never drove it again -he was a ' Detroit ' guy. The first year Mustangs came out,
that was the car for him. Sadly, there is no picture with Dad and the Morgan .

The Morgan has been through a lot of adventures with me and I look forward to
more with NBCC-cheers!
