Day 19 - Success Is My Portion By Being Strong
Scripture:
“No one will be able to stand against you all the days of your life. As I was with
Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong
and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore
to their ancestors to give them. Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to
obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or
to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go. Keep this book of the law
always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to
do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.” Joshua
1:5-8 NIV
Reflection:
You are called to be strong. Being strong means having the power to move heavy
weights or perform other demanding tasks and withstand great force or pressure.
Healing a broken heart is demanding. Choosing to love again is a heavy weight.
Showing understanding in the face of jealousy is a task. But be strong.
You are called to be courageous, which means you are not deterred by danger or
pain; be brave. Why would you have to be strong or courageous? Not because
you don’t have challenges or demands, pain or danger- but because you do.
When do you need to be strong and courageous? In obeying the law.
Why? Because obeying divine law when you don’t want to or don’t feel like it
will be demanding. There will be peer pressure from your old way of life and
pain of loss. You may lose your reputation as the fun friend, you may lose old
friends who don’t want to hang anymore, and you may lose your own self-
identity. And you wonder, Who am I anymore? But Success is Your Portion.
You will always be prosperous and successful.
How? Obey Divine Law. Speak the Truth. Focus on The Law. Follow the Law.
Prayer:
Dear God, we are grateful that you have written success and prosperity as our
portion. Endow us with strength and courage as we obey your divine laws. Let
usnot be deterred or broken under the pressure of living an upright lifestyle. We
Praise You for preparing success for us; Honor you for allowing prosperity for
us North, South, East, and West in all the heavens and all the universes, in every
continent, in each country, in any state, or whichever project. Thank you for
anointing our obedience to divine law. We Honor You. We Love You. We Praise
You. We Give Thanks Selah.
