Day 36 - Please Be Patient With Me; God is Not Thru With Me!!

            Scripture:
A cheerful heart does well like medicine, but a broken spirit makes one sick.
            Proverbs 17:22

            Reflection:
When everything is going our way, patience is easy to demonstrate.

Our patience is tested when our rights are violated like driving in traffic and
someone cuts you off or it appears someone has disrespected you or your family.
Patience can be hard. A lot of us feel we have a right to get upset in the face of
irritations and trials. I read this statement somewhere “Impatience seems like a
            holy anger.” Interesting, isn’t it?

The Bible praises patience as a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). Patience
reveals our faith in God’s timing and love. I look at one of the members of our
church, Alexis. She has experienced some health challenges but her faith in God
has never wavered. She serves God with patience and joy. Her health challenges
have left her limited in some activities physically. It does not stop her from doing
the work that God has called her to do. She patiently will go about her duties in
a different way, knowing that God has her back. That is patience! That is faith!

            Prayer:
Almighty God, please help us to serve You and your people with patience,
kindness and love. Give us the patience to linger in Your presence. Keep our
minds on you Lord at all times. Thank you for being the only One who can truly
take away the urge to do life by ourselves. Thank you for showing us how to put
            You first…always!
            Amen
