Day 38 - Hope

            Scripture:

“You will rest safe and secure, filled with hope and emptied of worry.”
                                                       Job 11:18

            Reflection:
As the Lenten Season comes to an end, I feel as though I have been
engulfed by a sea of raging emotions- joy, happiness, sadness, fear
doubts, loss, grief and memories of the past. I accept that no one is
immune from these feelings or the sensation of the emotions that
interconnect us to all of humanity. As I center myself in prayer, I
practice emptying myself of my emotions and concerns. As I give each
of my emotions and the concerns to Christ, I find hope to let go in faith.
I am available to hear the Holy Spirit with clarity and assurance in my
relationship with Christ. My hope is in growing my faith to believe
that "the best is yet to come" despite of how things look in the current
moment. During Lenten process it is easy to lose hope and think that
"this is it". When the clouds of public pain and feelings of helplessness
or despair seem to never quite clear out, and when there is no capacity
to process ones' private pain. All hope can be lost. The hope of Easter is
to believe in my faith that Christ has the power to make things better
            and increase my faith.

            Prayer:

Father God Heaven, I surrender to your hope for my life and believe in
Faith that all is well. I let go of my will and listen to hear the will of
God through the scriptures and find relief in my soul In the name of
Jesus Christ, hear my prayer. Amen.
