2. Development of Instructional materials
Development of Instructional Materials University / College / Unit
Committee
Varied instructional materials are prepared to complement those that are found
in the library. The faculty members are encouraged to produce their own
instructional such as modules, visual aids, manuals and power point
presentations of lessons.
Guidelines in the production of Instructional Materials:
1. The material should be relevant to the present work or designation of the
faculty concerned.
2. The instructional material should cover the course content of the syllabi.
3. The instructional material should be approved first by the Program
Chairperson and the Dean of the college where the faculty concerned
belongs, before it is used.
4. For instructional materials like teaching guides, manuals, etc., developed
by a group of faculty teaching the same subject, points should be divided
equally among them.
5. Revised instructional materials should carry the original author/s and the
name/s of the new author/s who made the revisions. Points should be
divided equally among authors.
6. The instructional material should have been subjected to critiquing by
peers of the same specialization / expertise and an English or Filipino critic
as the case may be.
7. The instructional material (IM) should have the following parts:
a. Preliminary Pages
Title Page
Approval Sheet signed by the College Dean and Vice President for
Academic Affairs and the Date of Effectivity of use of the IM
Syllabus
Table of Contents
b. Main Text: Subdivided by Chapters and each chapter should have the
following:
Objectives: General and Specific
Presentation of the Lesson (if possible with illustrations)
Summary of the Chapter
Chapter Exercises
c. Bibliography
