Saturday daytime consisted of the Battalion
Engineering Challenge which was to construct
a go-cart (boggie) using various piece’s of
scrap material, e.g. old lawn mowers and
bikes etc, that had been preloaded onto a
MAN Service Vehicle (SV) through the week.

The principle of the challenge was to promote
Company cohesion in a fun laid back
environment, while encouraging teamwork
with basic initiative designs and manufacture
principles. The Battalion Engineering
Challenge concluded with a rather cold, due
to the weather, but highly competitive go-cart
race between the Battalion Headquarters and
the 4 Company's that form 102 BN REME.
