               THERE  IS  A  LIBRARY  BOARD/COMMITTEE  WHICH  SETS  LIBRARY

               POLICIES,  RULES  AND  PROCEDURES  AND  PERIODICALLY  REVIEWS

               THEM.
               Excerpt from the College Code:

                       ARTICLE 34. The College Library Committee (CLC). There shall

               be  a  College  Library  Committee  that  shall  be  composed  of  the

               following:


                       Chairman- Vice-President for Academic Affairs/ College Librarian

                       Co-Chairman: College Librarian
                       Secretary: College Librarian

                       Members- Deans of the Different Schools and student representatives,

                       other librarian/ library in-charge of organic campuses



               Composition of the Library Advisory Committee
                       The  Library  Advisory  Committee  is  headed  by  the  Vice-President  for

               Academic  Affairs  as  Chairperson,  together  with  the  Deans  of  the  different

               schools and student representatives as members, and the College Librarian as
               a  member-secretary.    This  committee  formulates,  enhances  the  existing

               policies  and  procedures  of  the  library,  reviews  regularly  the  organizational

               chart of the library and recommends improvement to ensure that the library

               will be able to deliver better services to the clienteles.


                       Functions of the Library Advisory Committee

                   1.  Act as conduit between the library and its users;

                   2.  Assist  in  planning  for  continued  development  and  improvements  of
                       library resources and services to be included in the library development

                       plan;

                   3.  Assist on the preparation of the library budget;
                   4.  Develop and maintain an active staff development program for librarians

                       and support staff;

                   5.  Sets library policies, rules and procedures.
