TREASURER’S REPORT
An independent audit report conducted by Legacy Professionals LLP for the fiscal year ending September
30, 2019 is included elsewhere in these 2019 Annual Meeting materials.
AMT net assets as of September 30, 2019 were $8,565,268 compared to $8,039,503 on September 30,
2018. This gives a net increase of $525,765 over the previous year.
For your review the Audit and Budget Committee reports are also included in this 2020 Annual Reports
booklet. I would like to thank the Audit and Budget Committee members for their willingness to serve.
As the Budget Committee they were presented with a proposed budget, assessed and reviewed and
made adjustments, and made recommendations for a final budget. The recommended final budget was
presented to the Board of Directors at the October meeting held in Chicago, Illinois. The Board then
approved the budget for the 2019-2020 fiscal year. In its role as the Audit Committee the committee
made a couple of minor recommendations which can be found in their separate report in these pages.
The combination of school closures over the past year and the impacts of the COVID19 pandemic may
make meeting the expectations of the budget adopted by the AMT Board of Directors a challenge for
this fiscal year. Our national staff and the Board of Directors will be monitoring this as time progresses.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the AMT Board of Directors and all AMT members for the
privilege of serving as your AMT Treasurer this past year. I would like to specifically thank Jeannie
Hobson, AMT President, Chris Seay, AMT Vice President and Christopher Damon, AMT Executive
Director for their help and assistance this past year.
Thank you to the Audit and Budget Committee and to the AMT office staff for their assistance and
willingness to answer questions in the annual review of the AMT financial records and for preparing the
annual budget proposals.
Respectfully submitted,
Kenneth E. Hawker, MT(AMT)
AMT Treasurer
