        W            ith the growing competition in the retail sector, more so with e-commerce

                     coming up as a strong contender, the quality of  the shopping experience has
                     become  a key differentiator for physical  stores.  Brands are  exploring
                    different and more innovative ways to offer an enriching shopping
        experience to customers.





          Sensory marketing is gaining a foothold as a preferred marketing strategy to stimulate
          consumers’ senses and provide a unique consumer experience. Since background music
          is an important element of  sensory marketing, it is increasingly being used to enhance
          the retail experience.









          Just as the props, product displays, layout, etc., make up the visual element of  a store,
          similarly, music becomes the sound of  the brand, its voice ambassador, and can help in
          strengthening the connect between consumer, product, and the brand.
