The Soldiers’ Father
Ever since Zvika Levi’s daughter passed away, in order to not be sad all the time, he decided to give
everything he can to the lone soldiers in Israel. For twenty five years they’ve been calling him “the
soldiers’ father”. He makes sure that not one soldier is left without a family to take care of him.
Nine months ago he got sick with a muscle atrophy disease, and couldn’t move or speak. Two
weeks ago he amazed everyone by speaking again. Today (they) chose him at the Ministry of
Education to receive the Israel Prize.
