                          Micha Shitrit

Micha Shitrit (born November 19th 1962 in Nahariya) is an Israeli singer-
songwriter and musical producer. One of the founders of the rock band
“Natasha’s Friends”.

Shitrit started his musical career in the early eighties with Arkadi Duchin,
when they co-started the band “Septima 5”, and later “Natasha’s Friends”,
which was one of the most successful bands in the nineties. The band’s debut
album, “Natasha’s Friends”, was released in 1989. At the end of 1989 Arkadi
Duchin released his first solo album, “Want and Will Be”, which was entirely
composed of the songs of the Russian poet Vladimir Vysotsky. The Hebrew

version to most songs was written by Shitrit.

In 1998 Shitrit released his first solo album, “Nails and Feathers”. In 2004 Arkadi
Duchin recorded the song “Who Loves You More than I Do”, which he composed
to Shitrit’s lyrics. The song was a big success. In 2009 the album “Elmaliach-
Laroz-Shitrit” was released, a joint project of Shitrit with the traditional singer Lior
Elmaliach and the musical adapter Chayim Laroz. In 2011 Shitrit’s album “Micha

Shitrit” was released, in which several renewed versions of his songs from
previous albums were included, alongside new songs.

Micha Shitrit's songs that appear in this book: ‘Because of You’, ‘I Love
You’.
