Dan: That’s not true Shirley, we do a lot of
things together.
Shirley: what do we do together? Remember
[be reminded of] one thing, just one thing!
Come on, remember!
Dan: No problem, I’ll remember. What do
we do together? Ah… We… Hmm… Okay,
we don’t do anything together.
Shirley: You see?! We don’t do anything
together! Maybe you don’t love me anymore?
Dan: Shirley, really, don’t flip out.
Shirley: Okay, I won’t flip out, but I want to
know why you don’t want to do anything
with me.
Dan: That’s not it, Shirley. I really want to do
things with you, but I work all day long
and… You know what, Shirley? Maybe we’ll
meet tomorrow after work at a restaurant?
Will you meet [with] me?
Shirley: How fun! So we’ll meet at a
restaurant, and after that maybe we’ll register
for yoga?
Dan: Shirley!
Shirley: Just kidding. We’ll meet at the
restaurant,
and after the meal I’ll register for yoga, and
you’ll stay at home with the TV. Okay?
