Disengoff convinced cultural figures [culture people] like Bialik
and Ehad Ha'am to come and live in the city and that’s how Tel
Aviv became a center of culture.
When his wife Tzina died, he turned the first floor of his house
into a museum but he kept living in the second floor until his
death, in 1936.
12 years later, at the same house, Ben Gurion declared the new
state, the state of Israel.
