Everybody Sings

Since being elected President of Israel in two thousand fourteen, every Independence Day Reuven
(Ruvi) Rivlin invites all of Israel to take part in the internet choir project. Anyone that wants to can
film himself singing at home and join the internet choir, no matter what his singing capabilities are.
(They) edit all the video into one clip in which Rivlin himself appears as well, along with the
original artist who performs the song. The songs already performed by the internet choir are
Ahavtia, Natati La Hayay and Shalom Lach Eretz Nehederet. This year, in honor of Israel’s
seventieth, the President joined forces with the Koolulam’s, the popular mass singing project, with
the chosen song being Al Kol Ele (for all of these). The full clip will be aired on Independence Day
and is called All of Israel from Jerusalem. Ulpan-Or decided to embrace the project, and asked
dozens of schools studying Hebrew with the iHebrew program to join the celebration. Dozens of
students danced and sang the song Ole Ole in Hebrew, and together we created the Ulpan-Or choir
for the first time.
