The Spinner Trend

When we arrived at this toy store this morning to film the kids’ big hit, the spinner, we realized how
great the success is. (They) were out of stock before we got there. “There are hits all the time, but
not at this level, that really took. I can’t remember anything like this in recent years.” There’s not
much sophistication here, it’s just a small toy (you) spin with (your) hands, but it’s succeeding in
spinning kids’ heads. It’s much more than a consumer phenomenon. YouTube is filled with a long
list of videos teenagers in Israel and the world took with their spinner. The adults are just as eager
as the kids to find the spinner, since to them it seems like a worthy alternative to all the smartphones
and tablets, and there are also those who attribute it with qualities that help with Attention Deficit
Disorder problems. The price range is relatively broad, a simple spinner can cost ten NIS, but the
sparkling and fast ones cost up to a hundred and fifty NIS. And until the next current hit arrives,
demand only keeps climbing higher.
