The Big Wave of Fires

In the end of November there’s a big wave of fires in Israel. Dry weather, strong winds,
carelessness with fire and arson – because of all these the fire gets to many places in Israel, and for
a week the police and fire department can’t stop it. In Haifa, Zikhron Ya’akov and many settlements
in the West Bank trees, houses and whole streets are burned. The houses of Abigail and Ofra, two
twin sisters who live in the settlements Talmon and Halamish, are burned in two days, one after the
other.
