Bana’s Last Tweet
Bana Alabed is a seven-year-old girl from the city of Aleppo in Syria. For several months already,
al-Assad’s military (has been) bombing the city. Bana has a Twitter account that she opens along
with her mother, and in recent months she tweets on it and tells about life under the bombardments.
Bana has more than a hundred thousand followers from all over the world, who catch up on what’s
happening in Syria via her Twitter. On Sunday Bana’s mother tweets that (they’re) bombing their
house and that she can’t live any longer. Bana’s followers worry about her and hope that this isn’t
her last tweet.
