       Rachel the poetess - ‫ר ֵחל ַה ְּמׁשֹו ֶר ֶרת‬

English translation
Rachel the poetess was born in the year of 1890 in Russia. At the age of
15 Rachel began writing poems in Russian. At the age of 19 Rachel and
her sister traveled in Italy. On their way they came to visit Israel. They
didn't think of staying in Israel, but Rachel loved Israel, the people and
the Hebrew language very much, so she stayed in Israel. Rachel talked,
wrote and sang in Hebrew. She traveled to a Kibbutz near the Kinnereth
and worked there in agriculture, because she thought agriculture was an
important thing for Israel. Rachel traveled to France to continue
studying agriculture.
In the year of 1919 Rachel returned the Kibbutz in Israel. The people in
the Kibbutz were afraid of her disease, so they asked her to leave (to go
from) the Kibbutz. Rachel was sick and very sad.
Rachel moved to Zefat (Safed), then to Tel Aviv and eventually to
Jerusalem – because Dr. Helena Kagan agreed to have her. She lived in
a small house in Helena Kagan's Back yard. There, she wrote a lot of
poems about the Kinnereth, the land of Israel and love.
In the year of 1931 Rachel died and was buried in a tomb near the
Kinnereth.
Nowadays, a lot of people come and visit the tomb Rachel the poetess.
