The Best Cities in Israel
The Midrag website asked users to rank their municipality’s performance. About five thousand five
hundred residents from nineteen different cities took part in ranking their municipality’s
performance from one to five. The city that got the highest grade is Ra’anana, followed by Modi’in
in second place with a relatively high grade. Tel Aviv and Herzliya are in third place, Giv’atayim in
fourth place, Kfar Saba fifth and Rishon LeZion in sixth place. (You) only get out of Gush Dan in
seventh place and get to Be’er Sheva. And which are the five cities that got the lowest grade?
Jerusalem is in one of the lowest places, followed by Haifa, Petah Tikvah, Ashdod is in almost last
place and Hod HaSharon with the questionable title and lowest grade: two point forty six. Which
city is perceived by residents to be the cleanest? Rishon LeZion stands high on the list, Tel Aviv
and Haifa a bit lower. After those are Petah Tikvah, and again Jerusalem has the questionable title
(of) the dirtiest big city. At a time when it seems that mayors find themselves spending many hours
in interrogation rooms, (they) should spend at least the same amount of time checking and
improving the service (they) give residents – the main task for which they were elected.
