Application (1): EEG (The Electroencephalography) : (Activity 2)
Brain is made up of billions of brain cells called neurons (nerve cell) use electricity to communicate with each other.
Principle The combination of millions of neurons sending signals at once enormousريتكamount of electrical activity in the brain
detected using EEG.
unit EEG measures voltage-differences at the scalp in the microvolt (μV) range.
EEG recordings are:
Advantage a. Non-invasive (from outside) , painless (by aid of gel) b. Relatively low-cost. C. do not interfere much with a human's
ability to move or perceive stimuli,
As frequency ↑ ➔ amplitude ↓
Standard placements of electrodes on the human scalp: حيضوتلل ةمسرلا
A, auricle; C, central; F, frontal; Fp, frontal pole; O, occipital.
P, parietal; T, temporal 4
