Recently, Mr Scott Dundas (1974) visited the School and donated

During this visit Mr Chris Jones, a member of our wonderful

Maintenance team, who was a class mate of Mr Dundas’ for all
M a i n t e n a n c e t e a m , w h o w a s a c l a s s m a t e o f M r D u n d a s ’ f o r a l l
o f t h e i r S e n i o r y e a r s , c a m e t o m y o f f i c e a n d h e a n d S c o t t s p e n t
of their Senior years, came to my office and he and Scott spent

some time reminiscing and recounting some stories. Some

memories included the students all gathering in the “Rec Hut”
m e m o r i e s i n c l u d e d t h e s t u d e n t s a l l g a t h e r i n g i n t h e “ R e c Hu t ”
a n d w a t c h i n g N e a l A r m s t r o n g a n d B u z z A l d r i n w a l k o n t h e m o o n
and watching Neal Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walk on the moon
20 th th J u l y , 1 9 6 9 . T h e “ R e c Hu t ” w a s a b u i l d i n g p u r c h a s e d fr o m
20 July, 1969. The “Rec Hut” was a building purchased from
The Bank of New South Wales in 1955 and it stood where the
T h e B a n k o f N e w S o u t h W a l e s i n 1 9 5 5 a n d i t s t o o d w h e r e t h e
S c h o o l ’ s t h r e e f l a g p o l e s n o w s ta n d . T h e y a l s o r e m i n i s c e d a b o u t
