rapidly in the opposite direction. Wait for official word that the dan-
ger is over. Freedom Plaza uses an automated telephone dialing sys-
tem called SwiftReach. During an emergency FP Residents will be
notified with updates by the SwiftReach System.
You will need to have your supplies ready. An emergency supply of
water is more important than food. Use your telephone for emer-
gency calls only.
The safest place during a hurricane is in your apartment bathroom,
which is close to the center of the building, or in the main corridor, as
the end hallway windows are internally sealed with a hurricane rated
protective window film.
If sustained winds are 35 miles or more Emergency Squad, Police,
Ambulances will not operate.
In the event we reach a Category 4 (131-150mph) hurricane, resi-
dents will be asked to evacuate their apartments into the Atrium in
the main Plaza Building. Be prepared to bring a blanket, pillow,
flashlight, bottle of water, and medication.
