Preparedness – 2019

Water Supply – six (6) gallons/person, three (3) gallons/person for

drinking and three (3) gallons/person to flush toilets. Always refill
the toilet tank and never the bowl.

Radio – battery powered

Flashlight – battery powered

Cell phone – fully charged/spare battery and automobile charger

Non-perishable food items – canned foods, canned milk and snacks.

Can opener

First aid kit – make sure supplies are fresh and up to date

Medications – two (2) week supply

Oxygen users - extra tanks for at least three (3) days coverage

Linens & Supplies – blankets, towels, toiletries, pillows, rain jacket,
and golf umbrella

Trash bags – six (6) 30 gallon

Paper plates, plastic utensils, plastic cups

Paper towels (4 rolls)

Toilet paper (4 rolls)

Cleaning wipes – flushable

Sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer

Pet supplies – where applicable

Tub stopper – for tub (if applicable) to fill with water for toilet flushing

Note: All GVT hallway lights are backed up by an emergency generator.

One may leave the apartment door open for light.
