109 Special Results
he last food walk took place in Portugal. The first stop was the
T “Pastelaria Aloma”, where we ate the famous “pastel de nata”.
Secondly, we visited the “Mercado de Campo de Ourique”, a market with lots
of fish. After the market we went to the “Cadé do Senhor Afonso”, a small café
in Lisbon. “Casa Valenciana” was our fourth stop and we ate roast chicken.
We finished our food walk at “Quiosque das Amoreiras” with a traditional
soup “caldo verde”.
The food walks were perfect to get to know the food of the different countries.
Students learned a lot of the owners’ personal stories, which are often linked
to the migration history of the respective country.
