General
Conclusion
Food and drink is a theme in every period of art history and therefore very
important. In some periods it occurs more often than in others, but it is
always present and also relevant for us today. The representation of food
in the respective periods develops and changes further and further, which
is a sophisticated improvement of the theme. In addition, many important
artists in all European countries have dealt with food topics. This shows the
importance of food and drink in our Western culture.
