disease has become a major threat
to public health in western societies.
It is a treatable disease but there is
no final cure that could ease the di-
abetics suffering, it contributes to an
early death and will inevitably lead
to major health impairments if left
untreated.

The rise in numbers of diabetic
people can be reliably traced to the
high current number of overweight
people. Obesity damages the body’s
ability to regulate its blood sugar
levels. All of this combined should
raise people’s awareness of getting
informed on the topic of diet and
obesity in modern times.
