The last time ION Indie Magazine sat down with Andy LaPlegua of Combichrist in June 2018 we
were a few miles away from Brighton Music Hall in Brighton, MA, with the tour bus parked behind a
Starbucks. Now we had the pleasure of getting an update from Andy while his bus was parked right
outside Wally’s in Hampton Beach, NH. It was the first time Combichrist had played at Wally’s and
it was quickly becoming one of Andy’s favorite venues. “I like everything about this place! It’s a biker
bar -- it’s a dive bar with a big stage,” Andy said, motioning to Wally’s.
