JC: First, we're going to take a little bit of a break. Having two albums in
one year is a little difficult. In 2025, we will be putting out new music. I
think you're going to see a return to some heavier Sonic X; really getting
into some rhythmic, heavier music. We want to try something different.
We have that in our roots. If you go back to some of our older stuff. We
want to get back to being a little bit of a heavier band, something along
the lines of Disturbed and Godsmack, with some heavy rhythms, chunky
guitars, and really tight rhythm sections. So, I think in 2025, you'll see
some new music from us, and it'll be a little bit different than the last
couple of releases.
TB: As you look back over the last 20 years of the history of Sonic
X, what is one moment that really stands out to you?
JC: That’s easy. When we released a song called ‘Pray,’ it had
generated quite a bit of attention and airplay on traditional radio and
satellite. We were on heavy rotation on Sirius XM on the Octane
Channel, besides receiving a lot of local airplays. It really helped us to
grow our audience quite a bit and we had a lot of offers to tour at the
time. So, that one particular moment in time -- I think it was 2015 -- really
catapulted us and drew our fan base quite significantly.
TB: Thank you, thank you for doing this interview.
JC: No, no, my pleasure! Man, this is awesome.
