Reese and Allard reported that when Joyous Wolf formed in 2014, they realized they could make a go of it.
“Doors just started opening,” Reese said. When ION asked Allard and Reese if they had advice for artists just
starting out, they responded, “If your main goal is to be famous, that’s not enough. It needs to be a carnal
hunger in your belly that you need to keep feeding. Whether that desire is to be a painter, a writer, or a
musician…we need more creators.”
Joyous Wolf’s name may have been randomly generated, but it’s most appropriate for this group. The band
is happily feeding the hunger of the good wolf; the creative wolf. The carnal hunger transmitted to their fans
through each chord and lyric certainly stays for more than one place in time. Joyous Wolf has found a
permanent place in the playlist of their followers.
