The Iron Maidens cover Iron Maiden material from all eras of the band’s career, encompassing the band’s
biggest hits as well as fan favorites. The stage show includes appearances by Maiden mascot Eddie, the grim
reaper, the devil, and more. The Iron Maidens have packed houses everywhere they have played. I initially
was going to see them in Phoenix, but then got notice that The Iron Maidens were doing a show in Tucson a
day before at Paradiso, Casino Del Sol. I arrived at 6:35 p.m. and was numero uno in line. A country artist
was doing a V.I.P. meet and greet in the same venue and they went way past their bedtime. Thus, The Iron
Maidens’ sound check was pushed back an hour. But they were ready to rock at 9:15 in the p.m. That made
for 2 and a half hours waiting in line. I was
already feeling cranky and hungry and most
definitely thirsty. But enough about me…
The Iron Maidens are: Avina Murray (Nikki
Stringfield) guitars/backing vocals, Nikki
McBurrain (Linda McDonald) drums/backing
vocals, Bruce Chickinson (Kirsten Rosenberg)
lead vocals, Steph Harris (Wanda Ortiz)
bass/backing vocals, and Adriana Smith
(Courtney Cox) guitars/backing vocals. Quick
note: I recently did a shoot at NAMM 2018 for
ION Indie Magazine with “The Girls That Shred,”
and unknowingly, lead guitarist Courtney Cox
was among that group of gals.
It was showtime! Getting ready to storm the
stage straight out of Los Angeles, California was
The Iron Maidens, the all-female tribute to Iron
Maiden. This night’s performance boasted a
packed house with 500-plus heavy metal fanatics
packing the venue from wall to wall to wall.
