No one who had claimed their spot on the front row dared to move during the
intermission. Security had huge water bottles and were squirting any of the fans who
needed cooling off or a little hydration.
The lights fell, the screams became louder. Large monitors rescued us from the
darkness with dazzling lights and graphics as Atlanta welcomed Sevendust back
home.
Formed in Atlanta in 1994, vocalist Lajon Witherspoon, bassist Vince Hornsby,
guitarist John Connoly, and the beast Morgan Rose on drums, have now been rockin’
us for nearly 30 years!! Hometown fans were showing much love. The guys quickly
reminded us of why we are fans, and why they have lasted so long. Kicking off with “I
Might Let The Devil Win” and then serving an absolute menu of favorites including
“Truth Killer,” “Hero,” “Trust,” and ending fifteen songs later with “Face to Face.” The
talent and energy this band brings is without proper description. Whatever you had
paid to get to this show, you now had gotten “Your Money’s Worth.”
