Ricinine ( alkaloid)

The cake left after the expression of the oil contains about 0.2% ricinine.
Toxicity Ingestion causes nausea, vomiting, hemorrhagic gastroenteritis,
hepatic and renal damage. Also convulsions, coma, hypotension, respiratory
depression, and death.
