The mechanism of how cancer occur
The carcinogen itself or its metabolites, reacts with
purine or pyrimidine bases of DNA forming adduct,
causing DNAmutation that
*prevent accurate DNA replication
*prevent repair of DNA
*cells synthesize certain type of protein or enzymes
thatsend signals to cancer cells to grow and copy
itself
Different cancer types produce different proteins
andenzymes
Now, immunophenotyping (immunohistochemistry)is
recommended before treatment
