Characters of cancer cells
1-Uncontrolled cell proliferation
2-Lack of cellular differentiation features
3-Ability to metastasis (spread & invade local tissues)
Reason for uncontrolled cell proliferation
In normal cells, there is a glycoprotein, large external
transformation sensitive protein (LETS protein) which is
responsible for stopping the growth and keeping the cells
inresting state.
The membrane of cancer cells contains little or no LETS,
dueto presence of proteolytic enzymes
