Regulation of cell cycle
P53: protein that block cell cycle, if DNA is damaged toallow
time to repair. If DNA damage is sever, it cause apoptosis(cell
death)
Mutation of P53(genetic defect) is the most frequent
mutation, leading to cancer.
P27: protein that bind to cyclin and cdk, blocking entryto S
phase. In breast cancer, the reduced level of P27,predict a
poor therapy outcomes.
Cdk : phosphorylate cyclins
Check points that switch off or on cell cycle
