1- Cytarabine:(Cytosine arabinoside)
It is isolated from marine sponge.
It is an antimetabolite affecting cell cycle in the S phase
It is converted into cytosine arabinoside triphosphate,
which is incorporated into human DNA, damages DNA.
The rapidly dividing cancer cells are the most affected.
