IV. Taxonomic classification

It is a type of botanical classification (study of plant grouping) aiming at

   • Plant identification via comparison with previously collected
       specimens or with the aid of official monographs.

   • Plant classification via placing them into groups or categories to
       show some relationship.

   It is the ranking of plant groups in hierarchical relationship based on
   similarities in their Morphological, Anatomical, Biochemical,
   Genetic characteristics…. Aiming at reflecting real genetic
   relationship.

The categories of classification (taxa) described by the International Code
of Botanical Nomenclature ICBN are arranged in descending order.
