What is asthma? Symptoms?
• Asthma is a lower respiratory system condition
characterized by impaired airflow in the bronchial
tubes and lungs.
• The bronchi are hyper-responsive to certain stimuli,
producing an inflammatory response causing
constriction and narrowing of the airways
accompanied by excessive secretions.
• Symptoms are cough (Nighttime or early morning),
wheeze, a feeling of tightness in the chest and
shortness of breath.
